I talked to him about this topic a long time ago and he was bewildered as to why I said he was my best friend and partner, it just didn’t seem right and weird to address him as such. I told him, if you were to separate the two, it wouldn’t click. How do we then define what is a best friend and what is a lover? We can’t classify a lover as one who only stimulates our lives and showers us with gifts and sweet gestures everyday. If we don’t feel comfortable with talking to them about our issues, how can it click?Its just weird.
